/Jeff Smith teaches ethics, soteriology, church history, and preaching for RBS.
Conversion
Jeff was raised in an evangelical Christian home in Western North Carolina. Though making a profession of faith in his childhood, he was awakened to his sinful undone state and truly converted to faith in Christ alone in his mid-twenties.
Family
Jeff has been married to Kelly since 1990. They have six children, Rachel, Sarah, Samuel, Josiah, Guy and Garrison. As of 2025 they have 5 grandchildren are hoping for many more!

Pastoring Emmanuel Baptist Church, Coconut Creek, FL.
Hobbies
Jeff enjoys deer hunting back in the Carolinas in the fall and trout fishing when able in the Spring or Summer and spending time with his family.
Church Ministry
Jeff is a pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Coconut Creek FL where he has served since 2009. His ministry focus at Emmanuel is preaching, while also engaged in shepherding the flock.
Ministry Experience
After serving as a summer youth minister and an interim pastor in different churches, Jeff became the pastor of an SBC church in Townville, SC, after graduating from Seminary (1990–94). He then was involved in planting Covenant Reformed Baptist Church in Easley, SC, where he served as a pastor (1994–2009). Jeff also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Reformed Baptist Seminary.
