I was called on to fill the pulpits of several different churches, many of them from liberal denominations. A few times, while trying to preach the Word as I had seen modeled by Aaron White and trying to put into practice what I had learned from my RBS training, people would leave the middle of my sermon in disgust.

I was delighted when RBS started this new certificate in Reformed Baptist studies, which granted me the platform to study theology whilst balancing my local university studies.

In the past, I have done some street preaching, tract-writing, and Sunday School teaching. These days, I’m involved in a jail ministry, preaching to inmates. I also do some occasional pulpit supply locally and in the Dominican Republic.

Seminary has not merely been an academic exercise for me, but a stabilizing ballast to my soul. I am more equipped to love God with my mind because of this school. The academic challenge and blessing RBS has provided also encouraged me to press on in my studies.

RBS has been challenging for me. I went into RBS with no formal education outside of high school and with a full family. Each day was a new test of my willingness to follow where I felt God was leading me.

Now that the truth of God has been revealed in much greater ways, we no longer have zeal without knowledge. After experiencing small congregations, large congregations, many denominations, inter-church ministries, and other attempts at uniting the Body of Christ, I came to understand that only the Word of God can unite us in Jesus.
