“The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.”
Psalm 145:9

“You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.”
2 Timothy 2:1-2

As I finish my Master of Divinity degree, I cannot help but be grateful to God, my wife, my children, my church, and to Reformed Baptist Seminary.

Since I came to faith in Christ in 2004, serving my Savior in ministry has dominated my heart and mind. Recognizing that doing so would very likely require this degree, I enrolled in seminary at the first available opportunity. It has been a long road to get here, and there have been any number of challenges and difficult circumstances to get through. But the Lord has been abundantly faithful in providing grace in both perseverance and general provision to get across the finish line.

With this degree in hand now, I would be remiss if I didn’t express additional appreciation for the seminary’s flexibility, the leadership of Dr. Gonzales, and the excellent instruction I have received. The seminary’s structure has allowed me to attend classes and study in a way that balances work, ministry in my local church, and family life. Without a seminary like RBS, I sincerely doubt I would be writing this.

Thank you to all of pastors and professors at the seminary who have dedicated hours lecturing, grading papers, and providing guidance to me over these past few years (1 Thessalonians 5:12). I can only pray that I will be faithful to put into practice, and pass on, all that I have learned, and the spiritual growth that has happened as a result.
